Dust free essay sample
ââ¬Å"We are, we all, what happens when an early stage blend of hydrogen and helium develops for such a long time that it starts to ask where it came from.â⬠â⬠Jill Tarter, chief of the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) From the outset redden, it may appear to be a bit of crippling; all of humanitys achievements â⬠from our high rises and councils to our methods of reasoning and masterpieces â⬠corrupted to the status of early stage hydrogen and helium. Residue. However, as I would like to think, the way that humanity and every one of our achievements have developed from a billion-year-old haze of gas has intriguing ramifications. The universe was here before individuals â⬠some time before. Our species advanced rather as of late after a without holding back triumph in natural selection. Just like the idea of development, people have procured qualities that make us excellent at endurance; we are specialists at eating, resting, and â⬠in particular â⬠going down our qualities. However development avoided anything related to enabling people to appreciate the hidden idea of the universe. We will compose a custom paper test on Residue or on the other hand any comparable theme explicitly for you Don't WasteYour Time Recruit WRITER Just 13.90/page Isnt it abnormal, at that point, that our species has come right from following prey to contemplating the idea of M-theorys eleventh measurement? Isnt it fabulously unusual that this blend of hydrogen and helium that we call life has started asking where it originated from? There is no explanation that we ought to have the option to consider unique arithmetic or the idea of the universe, yet we do. A few days ago, I read about an expectation of superstring hypothesis guaranteeing that, at an on a very basic level little scope, reality don't exist. Correct, you heard me right. If we somehow happened to point our almighty magnifying instruments past the size of particles and iotas, further still than even electrons, we would inevitably go to a spot where the ideas of existence stop to have meaning. In the event that this isnt staggering, discernment breaking, and mind smoothing, at that point I dont recognize what is. This is certainly a lot for me. I cannot envision a world without Starbucks, not to mention reality. Yet, that is only the point; the more researchers comprehend the basics of the universe, the more they understand that nature doesn't adjust to human instinct. The eyes and brains that we have been given â⬠which arent excessively decrepit for early stage dust â⬠can't start to conceptualize the genuine idea of the real world. However we have instruments to go past what we can envision. The arithmetic and sciences that we have created permit us to extend into the most profound and most sense opposing domains of nature. Nobody can envision Schrodingers rushes of likelihood or the 11 elements of Calabi-Yau shapes, yet we can portray them in conditions. Us. Residue. I dont think about you, however this is only what gives me an adrenaline surge when Im incorporating the cubic base of x. This is the thing that makes me seize vector augmentation. By some coincidence, I exist through the indiscriminate crash of interstellar gas. By some coincidence, I have been enabled to reason, to envision, and â⬠when I cannot envision â⬠to utilize arithmetic to extend the constraints of my comprehension. Isnt that energizing? Isnt that incredible? In this way, for an amazing remainder, I need to contemplate material science and math. Why? Since that is a really improbable thing for residue to do.

Picasso's Influence on Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons Essay
Picasso's Influence on Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons - Essay Example The article Picasso's Influence on Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons dissects Pablo Picasso, cubism and how they impacted on Gertrude Stein's Delicate Buttons. A work of art might be a genuine craftsmanship yet a seat to sit on is a creative component. Workmanship which has less utilitarian qualities is called expressive arts while the articles which fill the useful need are called make. At one time period workmanship has been considered to basically portray the thoughts of truth and excellence. Workmanship when used to pass on magnificence has likewise helped in making mindfulness in individuals, has helped them to battle for their right, has given them where the world is going and how to make it a superior spot for our people to come. Henceforth craftsmanship has been utilized to pass on significance and isn't simply utilized for joy. Mindfulness and energy has been made in individuals through different types of craftsmanship. It could be verse, painting, a novel, a melody, a model, a demonstration of show; craftsmanship can be of any shape and can pass on significance in any case however its ought to be seen, at that point just it has its value and fills its need. Picasso and Gertrude are one of the individuals who has served the individuals through their work. Both these craftsmen had enthusiasm for cubism; Picasso utilized it in his artistic creations while Stein had utilized it in her compositions. During 1909 and 1919 Picasso alongside Braque created Analytic Cubism and Synthetic Cubism. Diagnostic Cubism is a style of painting utilizing monochrome caramel hues while Synthetic Cubism is an advancement of Cubism where bits of paper are stuck into the composition.... extreme neediness where he needed to consume of his work to give warmth to himself and he had likewise observed high occasions when his work had gotten popular after he had begun marking his work with just 'Picasso' instead of 'Pablo Ruiz y Picasso'. During the time he was popular he hosted go to suppers and gatherings with rich and exclusive class individuals and have had numerous ladies throughout his life. During 1909 and 1919 Picasso alongside Braque created Analytic Cubism and Synthetic Cubism. Scientific Cubism is a style of painting utilizing monochrome tanish hues while Synthetic Cubism is an improvement of Cubism wherein bits of paper or backdrop are glued into the creation utilizing arrangement in compelling artwork. During the First and Second World War and Spanish Civil War Picasso stayed nonpartisan yet he upheld the thought through his works of art. During the Spanish Civil War, Picasso living abroad had willfully taken an interest by communicating his indignation and judgment of Franco and Fascists through his work. He bolstered the Catalan freedom development and turned into an individual from the Communist Party. Picasso turned into a dedicated individual from French Communist Party in 1944 and went to a universal harmony meeting in Poland. In 1950 he got a Stalin Peace Prize from the administration and the Stalin representation delineated that his enthusiasm for the socialist governmental issues had gotten low however he stayed a dependable individual from the socialist party until his demise. [2] Cubism Cubism is a twentieth century workmanship development that has changed the European artistic creation; it was huge in France during 1907 and 1914. It has been established by both Picasso and Braque. The craftsman portrays the subject from numerous sides and shows a more prominent setting while cubist works of art incorporate separated articles which are dissected and re-organized.
Creating a cooperative Inter-Departmental atmosphere in Emergency Research Paper
Making an agreeable Inter-Departmental environment in Emergency Management - Research Paper Example For instance, Chernobyl fiasco and Three Miles Island debacle has shown the world the need of interdepartmental participation in crisis the executives. It is unthinkable for a solitary division to oversee colossal fiascos successfully. Truth be told, numerous nations look for the help of different nations when extreme fiascos happen. For instance, Pakistan looked for universal guide as of late when serious flood and tempest struck numerous pieces of that nation which made the human life stop. This paper surveys the accessible writing so as to get familiar with the need of interdepartmental participation in overseeing crisis circumstances. ââ¬Å"An viable crisis the board framework requires the most proficient utilization of every single accessible asset. At whatever point conceivable, crisis duties ought to be the augmentations of government agenciesâ⬠(Haddow et al, 2008. p.6). Numerous nations have crisis the executives and debacle readiness offices and projects. In any case, when fiasco strikes intensely, it is unthinkable for these organizations to deal with the issues freely in view of the mind boggling components associated with the salvage and catastrophe the executives procedure. For instance, atomic catastrophes are basic these days due to the expanded utilization of atomic force plants to deliver atomic energies. The Chernobyl mishap in 1986 was the aftereffect of an imperfect reactor structure that was worked with deficiently prepared staff. The subsequent steam blast and flames discharged at any rate 5% of the radioactive reactor center into the air and downwind. Two Chernobyl plant laborers passed on the evening of the mishap, and a further 28 individuals kicked the bucket inside half a month because of intense radiation harming (Chernobyl Accident, 2009) Chernobyl atomic force plant staffs were not prepared appropriately to confront any outcomes. In addition, inappropriate plan of the reactor was the significant reason for this calamity. It is hard for the crisis the board organization alone to

Night World : Huntress Chapter 11
Hello, Morgead!â⬠the voice was yelling even as the entryway went pummeling and smashing open, staying each couple of inches since it was old and twisted and didn't fit the edge any longer. Jez had snapped around at the principal clamor. The association among her and Morgead was upset, despite the fact that she could feel swoon echoes of the silver string, similar to a guitar string vibrating after it was played. ââ¬Å"Hey, Morgead-ââ¬Å" ââ¬Å"Hey, you still snoozing ?â⬠Several giggling, rowdy individuals were jamming into the room. In any case, the hollering halted suddenly as they got a quick look at Jez. There was a heave, and afterward quietness. Jez rose up to confront them. She was unable to stand to feel tired any longer; every muscle was daintily strained, each sense alert She knew the risk she was in. Much the same as Morgead, they were the debris of the San Francisco lanes. The vagrants, the ones who lived with unconcerned family members, the ones no one in the Night World truly needed. The overlooked ones. Her posse. They were out of school and prepared to thunder. Jez had consistently thought, from the day she and Morgead started getting these children, that the Night World was committing an error in treating them like trash. They may be youthful; they probably won't have families, yet they had power. All of them had the solidarity to be a considerable rival. Also, at the present time they were seeing her like a gathering of wolves taking a gander at supper. On the off chance that they all chose to go for her without a moment's delay, she would be in a difficult situation. Someone would wind up getting slaughtered. She confronted them soundly, apparently quiet, as a calm voice at last ended the quietness. ââ¬Å"It's truly you, Jez.â⬠And afterward another voice, from adjacent to Jez. ââ¬Å"Yeah, she came back,â⬠Morgead said recklessly. ââ¬Å"She joined the posse again.â⬠Jez shot him the briefest of sideways looks. She hadn't anticipated that him should help. He restored the look with a mixed up articulation. ââ¬Å". . . she came back?â⬠someone said vacantly. Jez felt a twinge of interested compassion. ââ¬Å"That's right,â⬠she stated, keeping her face grave. ââ¬Å"I needed to leave for some time, and I can't disclose to you where, yet presently I'm back. I just battled my way back in-and I beat Morgead for the leadership.â⬠She figured she should get it done with without a moment's delay. She had no clue how they would respond to the possibility of her as pioneer. There was another long snapshot of quietness, and afterward a challenge. A sound that looked like a call to arms. At the same moment there was a vicious surge toward Jez-four individuals all giving themselves wholeheartedly to her. For a heartbeat she stood solidified, prepared to battle off a four-overlay assault. At that point arms folded over her midsection. ââ¬Å"Jez! I missed you!â⬠Somebody slapped her on the back practically hard enough to wreck her. ââ¬Å"You trouble maker! You beat him again?â⬠Individuals were attempting to embrace her and punch her and pat her at the same time. Jez needed to battle not to show she was overpowered. She hadn't anticipated this of them. ââ¬Å"It's acceptable to see you folks again,â⬠she said. Her voice was marginally temperamental. Also, it was reality. Raven Mandril stated, ââ¬Å"You frightened us when you vanished, you know.â⬠Raven was the tall, delicate one with the marble-fair skin. Her dark hair was short in back and long in front, falling more than one eye and clouding it. The other eye, 12 PM blue, sparkled at Jez. Jez permitted herself to glimmer back, a tad. She had constantly preferred Raven, who was the most full grown of the gathering. ââ¬Å"Sorry, girl.â⬠ââ¬Å"I wasn't scared.â⬠That was Thistle, despite everything embracing Jez's midsection. Thorn Galena was the fragile one who had halted her maturing when she arrived at ten. She was as old as the others, yet modest and practically weightless. She had fluffy light hair, amethyst eyes, and small sparkling white teeth. Her claim to fame was playing the lost kid and afterward assaulting any people who attempted to support her. ââ¬Å"You're never scared,â⬠Jez advised her, crushing back. ââ¬Å"She implies she realized you were okay, any place you were. I did, too,â⬠Pierce Holt said. Penetrate was the thin, cool kid, the one with the highborn face and the craftsman's hands. He had dull fair hair and profound set eyes and he appeared to convey his own windchill factor with him. In any case, a few seconds ago he was taking a gander at Jez with cool endorsement. ââ¬Å"I'm happy someone thought so,â⬠Jez stated, with a look at Morgead, who just looked deigning. ââ¬Å"Yeah, well, a few people were going insane. They thought you were dead,â⬠Valerian Stillman put in, following Jez's look. Val was the huge, gallant one, with profound reddish brown hair, dim spotted eyes, and the construct of a linebacker. He was normally either snickering or shouting with fretfulness. ââ¬Å"Morgead made them scour the lanes for you from Daly City to the Golden Gate Bridge-ââ¬Å" ââ¬Å"Because I was trusting a couple of you would fall off,â⬠Morgead said without feeling. ââ¬Å"But I had no such karma. Presently shut up, Val. We don't possess energy for this class-gathering stuff. We have something critical to do.â⬠Thorn's face lit up as she ventured once again from Jez. ââ¬Å"You mean a hunt?â⬠ââ¬Å"He implies the Wild Power,â⬠Raven said. Her one obvious eye was fixed on Jez. ââ¬Å"He's disclosed to you as of now, hasn't he?â⬠ââ¬Å"I didn't have to tell her,â⬠Morgead said. ââ¬Å"She definitely knew. She returned on the grounds that Hunter Red-plant needs to make an arrangement with us. The Wild Power for a spot with him after the millennium.â⬠He got a response the one Jez realized he anticipated. Thorn squeaked with delight, Raven giggled huskily, Pierce gave one of his virus grins, and Val thundered. ââ¬Å"He realizes we have the genuine article! He doesn't wanna play with us!â⬠he yelled. ââ¬Å"That's correct, Val; I'm certain he's shuddering in his boots,â⬠Morgead said. He looked at Jez and moved his eyes. Jez really wanted to smile. This truly resembled bygone eras: she and Morgead exchanging mystery looks about Val. There was a weird warmth moving through her-not the startling shivering warmth she'd encountered with Morgead alone, yet something less difficult. A sentiment of being with individuals who preferred her and knew her. A sentiment of having a place. She never felt that at her human school. She'd seen things that would make her human cohorts crazy indeed, even to envision. None of them had any thought of what this present reality resembled or what Jez resembled, for that issue. Be that as it may, presently she was encircled by individuals who got her. Also, it felt so great that it was disturbing. She hadn't anticipated this, that she would slip once again into the group like a deliver a glove. Or then again that something inside her would glance around and moan and state, ââ¬Å"We're home.â⬠Since I am not home, she let herself know harshly. These are not my kin. They don't generally have any acquaintance with me, eitherâ⬠¦. Be that as it may, they don't need to, the little murmur returned. You never need to disclose to them you're human. There's no purpose behind them to discover. Jez pushed the idea away, scrunched down hard on the moaning some portion of her brain. Also, trusted it would stay scrunched. She attempted to concentrate on what the others were stating. Thorn was conversing with Morgead, getting defensive as she grinned. ââ¬Å"So in the event that you have the terms settled, does that mean we get the chance to do it now? We get the opportunity to pick the young lady up?â⬠ââ¬Å"Today? Better believe it, I surmise we could.â⬠Morgead took a gander at Jez. ââ¬Å"We know her name and everything. It's Iona Skelton, and she's living only a few structures down from where the fire was. Thorn made companions with her previous this week.â⬠Jez was surprised, in spite of the fact that she kept her appearance loose. She hadn't anticipated that things should move this quick. However, it may all turn out to be a good thing, she understood, her psyche turning over conceivable outcomes rapidly. In the event that she could grab the child and return her to Hugh, this entire disguise could be over by tomorrow. She may indeed, even live through it. ââ¬Å"Don't get too excited,â⬠she cautioned Thistle, brushing a few bits of grass out of the littler young lady's silk-floss hair. ââ¬Å"Hunter needs the Wild Power alive and safe. He has plans for her.â⬠ââ¬Å"Plus, before we take her, we must test her,â⬠Morgead said. Jez controlled an inclination to swallow, continued brushing Thistle's hair with her fingers. ââ¬Å"What do you mean, test her?â⬠Td believe that would be self-evident. We can't take the risk of sending Hunter a flop. We need to make sure she is the Wild Power.â⬠Jez raised an eyebrow. ââ¬Å"I thought you were sure,â⬠she stated, obviously she knew Morgead was correct. She herself would have demanded Hugh figure out how to test the young lady before doing whatever else with her. The issue was that Morgead's trying was probably going to be â⬠¦ horrendous. ââ¬Å"I'm sure, however I despite everything need to test her!â⬠Morgead snapped. ââ¬Å"Do you have an issue with that?â⬠ââ¬Å"Only if it's risky. For us, I mean. All things considered, she is very brave of intensity past envisioning, right?â⬠ââ¬Å"And she's in grade school. I scarcely believe she's going to have the option to take on six vampires.â⬠The others were thinking to and fro among Morgead and Jez like fans at a tennis match. ââ¬Å"It's similarly as though she never left,â⬠Raven said dryly, and Val roared chuckling while Thistle laughed. ââ¬Å"They constantly stable so-married,â⬠Pierce watched, with only a tinge of disdain to his virus voice. Jez scowled at them, mindful that Morgead was doing likewise. ââ¬Å"I wouldn't wed him if each other person on earth was dead,â⬠she educated Pierce. ââ¬Å"If it were a decision among her and a human, I'd pick the human,â⬠Morgead put in awfully. Everybody giggled at that. Indeed, even Jez. The sun sparkled on the water at the Marina. To Jez's left side was a wide piece of green grass, where individuals were flying immense and beautiful kites, muddled ones with many rainbow ta
The Disadvantages of Using Facebook Among Students Essay Example for Free
The Disadvantages of Using Facebook Among Students Essay A generally excellent morning to Miss Shirly and my kindred companions. Today, I, Shaatmi Batumalai, will convey a discourse titled ââ¬ËThe weaknesses of utilizing the Facebook among studentsââ¬â¢. As we as a whole know, todayââ¬â¢s world is loaded with present day advances, particularly in the field of correspondence. Nobody can preclude the proficiency from securing these devices, for example, Twitter, Skype, Friendster, thus some more. Shockingly, if wrongly utilized, these splendid innovations can likewise bring hindrances for its young clients. Subsequently, let me bring your consideration again towards the title of my discourse, ââ¬ËThe impediments of utilizing the Facebook among studentsââ¬â¢. As a matter of first importance I might want to edify on the issue of Facebookââ¬â¢s awful impacts on understudies results. Understudies who are dependent on Facebook will in general lose their focus on their investigations. This is mostly brought about by the studentsââ¬â¢ uncontrolled time spent being on-line. They become excessively wrapped up with their exercises, and neglect to finish their school errands, lastly neglect to adapt up to their investigations. Next, understudies are ignorant of the organization they keep through their records. They are intrigued by the movement of visiting with outsiders who may seem alluring or fascinating. They donââ¬â¢t even understand that, occasionally this may even reason major issues, for example, contentions or even posse battles which can harm a studentââ¬â¢s quiet life. To wrap things up, understudies may likewise confront medical issues with over the top Facebook utilization. This makes them to not to have enough rest. So when they go to class the following morning, they simply rest on their work areas and drive their instructors to be mad with them. Moreover, understudies may likewise encounter limitation with a lot of Facebook. In view of my assessment, the Facebook resembles an addictive medication for its clients. It is very testing to avoid the energizing life yet as developed understudies we should attempt to focus on our investigations. As an end, it is dependent upon the person to pick the correct methods for utilizing these advances for their own advantages. With this, I end my discourse. Much thanks to you for tuning in.

Fictitious Statistical Study - 3025 Words
Fictitious Statistical Study (Research Paper Sample) Content: Fictitious Statistical Study Name: Subject: Date of Submission: Fictitious Statistical Study Introduction According to Acham, Kikafunda, Oluka, Malde, Tylleskar (2008), cases of obesity and overweight are associated with increased risk for diseases such as heart disease especially when body fat is deposited in the abdomen. This owes to the reality that individuals with huge fat deposits in the abdomen always have large waist circumferences. It is notable that the emergence of cases of obesity and overweight forced scholars to develop a tool for measuring an individual's fat content in relation to the individual's height. Specifically, scholars developed the body mass index, which measures an individual's weight with relation to the individual's height. It is important to understand how the body mass index is calculated because the upcoming discussion is focused on body mass index. It follows that the body mass index (BMI) is obtained after dividing an individual's weight in kilograms by the individual's height in meters. It is crucial to highlight that studies have been conducted on the acceptable standards of body mass index. As evidenced, World Health Organization (2004) argues that a study conducted in Asia, Europe, and North America reveals that a body mass index of 21Kg/M2 and above is associated with high risks of cardiovascular diseases. This owes to the reality that individuals with such BMIs are at high risks of contracting diseases such as ischaemic heart disease, type II diabetes, ischaemic stroke, hypertensive diseases, and osteoarthritis. Critical to the discussion is the fact that a different study reveals that the global burden of diseases associated with high BMIs amounts to 30 million disabilities that were adjusted for life years in 2000 (Bogin and Varela-Silva, 2012). Researchers have also used the current trend and have predicted an increase in diseases associated with high BMIs if no measures are taken. In a different study, Kitahara, Gamborg, Pretha, Sorensen, and Baker, (2014) examined the effect of height and weight at birth. The authors concluded that extreme high cases of BMI at birth increase the risk of developing glioma in adulthood. Evidently, BMI plays a crucial role in the health of the current society. Simply put, the global society should understand BMI because it plays a crucial role in the wellbeing of the society. It is important to highlight that studies reveal that the body mass index can be calculated based on an individual's weight and height (Franz and Feresu, 2013). Critical to the debate is the fact that different studies have examined BMI beyond height and weight. For instance, Sperrin, Marshall, Higgins, Rnehan, and Bucha (2015) argue that factors such as waist circumference, chest circumference, and waist circumference could be used to identify an individual's body mass index. This paper examines whether age, height, and weight have an influence on body mass index. Particularly, the paper describes observations for the variables mentioned above and uses the multivariate linear regression analysis technique to examine the effect of age, weight, and height on BMI. The results indicate that weight and height are significant predictors of BMI, but age cannot predict an individual's BMI. Methodology As mentioned above, the study intended to identify the effect of age, weight, and height on BMI. Therefore, it could be deduced that the researcher treated age, height, and weight as the independent variable and BMI as the response variable. Critical to the discussion is the fact the researcher formulated the hypothesis indicated below prior to beginning the study. Further, it is important to note that the data used was not collected from any population because the researcher simulated the data based on the relationship between height and weight. This owes to the reality that the researcher was interested in developing a model that could complement outcomes from previous studies. It is also important to note that the researcher used a data set with fifty observations. H0: Age, height, and weight have no effect on BMI H1: Age, height, and weight have an effect on BMI The simulated data was then cleaned in Microsoft Excel and analyzed in SPSS using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression techniques. All regression diagnostics were checked to ensure that all the assumptions for linear regression were met. For instance, outliers were checked by plotting scatterplots for all the variables, with BMI as the dependent variable for all the plots. Any significant outliers were removed from the data, which resulted in the removal of two observations. Consequently, the researcher simulated two additional observations to ensure that the data met the desired population size of fifty observations. It is important to note that all data manipulation techniques were completed in Microsoft Excel before the data was analyzed in SPSS. Regression Diagnostics Regression analysis requires that the assumption of linearity be met for the outcome of the test to be credible. Specifically, the assumption requires that the relationship between the outcome variable and all predictor variables be linear. Consequently, the researcher checked to ensure that the relationship between BMI and all the independent variables is linear, which was done using a scatterplot of BMI and the independent variables. Critical to the discussion is the fact that all the independent variables had a linear relationship with BMI. The diagrams depicted in figure 1 below, indicate the presence of a linear relationship between BMI and the independent variables. Figure 1: Scatterplots used to check for a linear trend The assumption of normality of error terms must be ascertained to ensure that the forecasts, scientific insights, and confidence intervals yielded from the regression model are efficient. The assumption was checked using normal probability plots shown below. This was done by running the regression analysis and selecting the normality plots in SPSS. The results obtained from the test are depicted in in figure two below. From figure two, it is evident that all the observations fall within the normal line indicating that the normality of error terms is ascertained Figure 2: PP plots from regression analysis The independence of error terms were also checked to ensure that errors associated with a single observation were not related or similar to errors produced by another observation. This was completed by checking the collinearity diagnostics when running the regression analysis in SPSS. The results from the output are depicted in table one below, and prove that all the error terms were independent of one another. As evidenced, the results indicate very low correlation coefficients between variables, which imply the absence of correlation between the variables. This owes to the very low correlation co-efficient between the variables. Collinearity Diagnostics Model Dimension Eigenvalue Condition Index Variance Proportions (Constant) Age HeightMetres Weightkg 1 1 3.934 1.000 .00 .00 .00 .00 2 .051 8.792 .00 .76 .00 .06 3 .015 16.316 .02 .09 .01 .70 4 .000 90.445 .98 .15 .99 .23 a. Dependent Variable: BodyMassIndex Table 1: Collinearity diagnostics Ultimately, the homogeneity of variance was ensured by plotting a scatterplot of the dependent variable against the residuals. This was done by creating a plot with the dependent variable against the residuals. The results are depicted in figure three below, and demonstrate that the error terms have a constant variance. This owes to the reality that the points in the graph were evenly distributed below and above the trend line. Further, they were also randomly distributed (without a specific pattern). A correlational analysis was also conducted to identify any relationship between the predictor variables and the response variable. Justification for Using Multiple Linear Regression The regression diagnostics reveal that the test met the required conditions owing to the fact that the model met all the required assumptions. It is also crucial to highlight that the researcher was justified to use multiple linear regression analysis because of the variables present and the research problem. As Carver, and Nash (2011) reveals linear regression analysis (whether simple or multiple) is used to identify, the presence, nature, and type of the relationship between variables. The author further asserts that most of the variables must be continuous before regression analysis could be used. In this case, BMI, age, weight, and weight are continuous variables, which meet the one condition for using regression analysis. Verma (2013) further argues that in cases where a researcher is predicting a relationship between two or more independent variables, then multiple regression analysis should be used. Evidently, the researcher was justified to use multiple linear regression analysis because the required conditions for running the tests were met. Further, the researcher was examining a relationship between one dependent variable and three predictor variables. Results Descriptive Statistics As mentioned above, descriptive statistics were used to summarize the data prior to running the main test. Vital to the debate is the fact that the researcher used the minimum, the mean, the maximum, the variance, the range, and the standard deviation to describe the data. The descriptive statistics was possible by selecting analyze, then descriptives, and entering the variables BMI, age, weight, and height. The research...

The Bad Luck Kennedys Essay - 1236 Words
The Kennedy family, the quintessential all-American family, filled with some of the countrys best and brightest. That special family contains a soldier, a few senators, and even a president, the famous John Franklin Kennedy. However, some of us have probably heard about the bad luck this family seems to run into, from a botched lobotomy to that famous JFK assassination. The whole entire family seems cursed, those ghastly curses ranging from Rosemary Kennedys misdiagnosis and rather unfortunate botched lobotomy, to John F. Kennedys assassination. Its sad to see a well-respected family go through such tragedies, its almost as the world was plotting against these people. In this essay, I will be talking about the multitude of theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Unfortunately, Lieutenant Kennedy met his demise shortly after takeoff, his co-pilot and he were killed instantly. She was slower than the other Kennedy children, she was developmentally delayed. However, according to Ronald Kessler, she was able to write endearing letters, dance, and even do arithmetic. Contrary to her then diagnosis, she was not mentally retarded; her IQ was above 75, well past the range of mental retardation. As Rosemary grew older though, her once sweet disposition turned bitter. Joe Kennedy, Rosemarys father banned her from the household, after which, he contacted two surgeons in Washington state: Dr. Freeman and Dr. Watts. Dr. Freeman supervised Dr. Watts surgery on Rosemary. Rosemary was given a mild tranquilizer; Dr. Watts recalling his surgery from those many years remembers making a rather small surgical incision through her skull, near the front, and on both sides. As. Dr. Watts performed the surgery, Dr. Freeman asked Rosemary questions such as reciting the Lords Prayer, to sing God Ble ss America or count backwards. Her pulse and blood pressure rose as Dr. Watts continued to cut. As the surgery went on, she began to grow incoherent, they soon stopped.
